Okay, so my dad is out of the hospital. Tests have determined that there is nothing wrong with his heart and the next course of action is an ultrasound on his gallbladder. Surgery for that might suck, but it's still a lot less scary than heart disease ( Read more... )

Last night at 10 PM my grandmother called my cell phone. I knew immediately that something must be wrong because she's usually in bed by then. I answered, and she asked, "You heard about your dad, right?" I told her I hadn't heard anything. She said, "He had a heart attack. For the past few weeks, I have been getting Rolling Stone and Entertainment Weekly. I find this really, really upsetting because I never subscribed to either of them and I have absolutely no clue where they're coming from.
